Ti-Ratana Lumbini Garden Community Service Day

We are pleased to inform that Ti-Ratana Lumbini Garden Buddhist Society is having various activities on our Inaugural Community Service Day at our new Centre as follows :

Mobile Clinic

  • free basic medical checkup such as blood pressure, diabetes, BMI, and etc for adults
  • free pap smear test by a gynecologist
  • vision check for cataract, glaucoma for adults
  • vision and hearing check for children
  • deworming for children
  • traditional Chinese medicine
  • oral hygiene, dental check by dentist


Blood Donation Campaign

  • incollabration with National Blood Bank
  • registration starts at 8.15am
  • help us to spread the news as we are targetting at least 120 donors
  • light refreshments will be served


Organ Donation

  • find out how to be a Donor


Mobile Classroom

  • assistance on general improvement in English & Mandarin for primary & lower secondary schoolchildren


Meals for Old Folks and Orphans

  • vegetarian lunch for old folks and orphans from selected Homes

Speaker's Profile


Mr. N.B. Dayananda is a first generation Sinhalese Malaysian who grew up and was educated in Penang.

He has had a varied work life with some fifteen years as an officer in the Royal Malaysian Air Force(RMAF) and over thirty years in the business / commercial world in Sales & Marketing, Human Resources Development (HRD) and as an internationally-recognised trainer in both, and in education.  Some twelve years of the latter time he spent working out of London for the franchisees of one the world’s premier American publishers.  His work entailed total responsibility for the Company’s operations in the six Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) countries: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, besides Pakistan.  He now lives in retirement in Seremban since the tragic demise of his beloved wife as the result of a failed snatch theft in Petaling Jaya in 2001.

Mr. Daya or Uncle Daya (as he is popularly known) is widely travelled.  He was a national champion in Toastmasters International, is a certified Dhamma speaker and an internationally recognised public speaker and trainer in Sales & Marketing, Motivation, Education, Dressing for Success, Communications Skills in English, Time Management, etc.
He has been involved in Buddhist voluntary work since his late teens in Penang with the Mahindarama Buddhist Temple and its Sunday Pali School.  He has served for a number of years on the Sasana Abhiwurdhi Wardhana Society (SAWS) and is currently an invited member in the “Think Tank” of the Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism.  (MCCBCHST).  He has also served the Malaysian Sinhalese community over many years through the Malaysian Sinhalese Association (MSA) having founded and edited its newsletter, “Sinhalayo.”

In conjunction with 2012 Wesak Day, Ti-Ratana Lumbini Garden Buddhist Society held a 2-day celebration for this auspicious occasion at our new Centre. The Exco members would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all Sponsors, Volunteers and Helpers for your support and contribution, in cash or kind, in making this event a great success. Please convey our deepest gratitude to your family and friends, too who had helped at the Centre.

Last but not least, we would like to thank all devotees for the support to the Centre. We look forward

Speaker's Profile


Bro Mui Han has been a Buddhist since the age of 13. He started active Buddhist work in his secondary school Buddhist Society. He was the President of St. John’s Institution Buddhist Society KL from 1993 – 1997. His other appointments include EDSG Director in Persatuan Buddhis UPM (PBUPM) in 1999/2000 and were a member of the first Nalanda Buddhist Society, Serdang (NBS) committee in 2003/2004, Committee member of Buddhist Missionary Society Malaysia (BMSM) Youth Section (2006-2010) and member of Aloka Foundation Management Committee (2008-2010).

Bro Mui Han also co-founded a youth group in 1998 and was later formalize to be known as Dhammaduta Youths (D2Y) in 2000. D2Y have been running annual year-end Buddhist camps for secondary school students since 1998 till today. D2Y seeks contemporary ways of understanding the sublime Buddhist teachings through total engagement with youths. In experimenting with various forms of media (including an accapella choir group), D2Y challenges Buddhist Youths today to re-evaluate their principles in living, a competitive and challenging world today.

Professionally, Mui Han is currently a Senior Consultant for a Human Capital consulting firm. Besides providing Human Capital consulting solutions to companies, he delivers a series of management & leadership training courses.
