Synopsis
This is Part-2 of a 3-part series that helps us understand how our brain has evolved over millions of years, and what it is about our brain that makes us more intelligent than other species, and yet naturally highly emotional and self-centered. We will gain an insight into how the brain works, and how we can tap into its great potentials and unlimited capacity to help us shape our lives and experience greater happiness and peace of mind.
In this Part 2 entitled “Our Emotional Brain” we will explore how the structure and function of brain circuitry makes us naturally more emotional and self-centered, and what happens when we become emotional. This helps us understand the nature of emotion and feelings, and explore this learning from a Buddhist perspective.
We will review videoclips of the latest research findings from the fields of Behavioral Psychology and Neuroscience to enhance this presentation.
